The aim of the course is that all trainees:
- will have sufficient knowledge and understanding to teach Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the age range 5-11 years;
- will know how to use ICT effectively, both to teach core and non-core subjects, and to support their wider professional role;
- achieve standards in relation to ICT in line with the Teacher Standards 1,2,3,4,5,6 (DfE (2011) Teachers' Standards).
My aim is to develop the ICT skills I have gained in business to include ICT relevant to schools, so I can complete the PGCE secure in my ICT
and pedagogic skills. Therefore I have created an action plan with detailed information on the Skills page of this site.
